Muse heeft de laatste jaren al heel wat live-DVD’s uitgebracht. Maar nu willen ze het iets anders gaan doen. Ze willen geen standaard live-dvd uitbrengen van hun laatste tournee maar een tour-documentaire à la Nirvana’s ‘Live! Tonight! Sold Out!’ docu.

In 2002 bracht Muse hun eerste live-dvd uit, ‘Hullabaloo’, gevolgd door ‘Absolution Tour’ in 2005 en ‘H.A.A.R.P’ in 2007. Maar bassist Chris Wolstenholme heeft in een interview laten weten dat de band het deze keer anders wil gaan doen: “We’d like to something a little bit more along the lines of a touring documentary as opposed to just a live gig this time.”

Verder voegde Wostenholme er nog aan toe: “Something a little bit more like Nirvana’s Live! Tonight! Sold Out! I think that was one of the best tour documentaries I’ve ever watched; just life on the road and what it’s like, with obviously a bit of music here and there, and other loads of other random stuff as well.”
